PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Economical PolyMax DBS is a very durable and decorative epoxy flooring system comprised of a water white clear, moisture tolerant, multi-purpose epoxy and various quartz aggregates. Designed to be extremely versatile, the surface finish can range from very aggressive and slip resistant, to nearly glass smooth. This top quality epoxy formulation exhibits very good chemical resistance, excellent abrasion and impact resistance and superior color stability.

Adjustable curing rates allow PM-DBS to be installed under most environmental conditions. Fast cure hardeners can return the floor to service in under 24 hours. It is the perfect choice when economy, durability and aesthetics are desired.

TYPICAL USE

Use PM-DBS in virtually any commercial and institutional applications and many industrial areas where a decorative, slip resistant, seamless floor is needed. It will withstand the rigors of all but the heaviest industrial traffic and chemical exposure. It is commonly found in automotive show rooms, food service areas, surgical prep areas, laboratories, rest rooms, correctional facilities, wet process areas, and showers and locker areas.

LIMITATIONS

Avoid on or below grade applications where water vapor transmission is greater than 5 lbs./1000 sq. ft. per 24 hrs. or where ambient operating temperatures exceed 150 F.

Substrate must be relatively smooth, sound, dry and free of surface contamination. Ambient air temperature must be at least 40 F and 3 F above dew point during application. Not intended for exterior applications.

PACKAGING

Standard packaging for liquid portion is 5 gallon pails. Standard packaging for colored quartz aggregate is 50# bags. Special orders for unitized, larger or smaller packaging size is available by special order.

STORAGE

Store in a dry area at temperatures between 50 F and 90 F. Protect product from freezing and excessive heat. Minimum shelf life is one year from date of manufacture when properly stored.

THICKNESS

Normal thickness is a nominal 3/32". Additional thickness may be specified for additional wear and impact resistance.

COMPLIANCES

All components of PM-DBS are compliant with the State of California Air Resources Board approved architectural coatings volatile organic compound (VOC) rule, San Diego APCD Rule 67, New York City AQMD Rule 205 and the New Jersey VOC requirements.

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE/PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

Physical Properties

Actual test results may vary due to the use of various aggregates, application methods and floor finish. The foregoing test results are based upon laboratory prepared samples and results may vary if not prepared by a professional technician.

AVAILABILITY

PolyMax Polymer Products are available only through selected and approved applicators. This material is intended for commercial and industrial installations and should be installed by skilled, seamless flooring technicians. It is neither designed for nor available for consumer use.

COLOR SELECTION

Colors are determined by the aggregate chosen. Contact your local PolyMax Coatings Applicator for selection. (Custom colors are available at additional charge)

PolyMax DBS systems are intended for use by professional applicators. Results are highly dependent upon their skills. Although materials are safe if properly handled, all personnel who are exposed to any chemicals must read and completely understand precautions and warnings on label and MSDS prior to use.

COMPONENTS OF OR PRODUCTS USED WITH AND DURING THE INSTALLATION OF POLYMAX POLYMER PRODUCTS MAY INCLUDE HAZARDOUS MATERIALS. All personnel exposed to or handling materials before and during installation must read and fully understand label precautions and Material Safety Data Sheets.

LIMITED WARRANTY

PolyMax Polymer Products are manufactured to meet the highest level of consistency and quality for their intended use. All products are warranted to meet the physical properties as listed above. Should any PolyMax Polymer Products be proven to be defective within one year of the date of shipment, the products will be either replaced or at our discretion a credit for the full purchase price will be issued. The successful performance of seamless flooring is highly dependent upon many factors beyond our control. Therefore, except for such replacement or refund PolyMax and its affiliates MAKE NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF FITNESS, DESIGN COMPATIBILITY OR MERCHANTABILITY, RESPECTING ITS PRODUCTS. Other than that stated in the foregoing, PolyMax and its affiliates shall have no other responsibility or liability, including direct and/or indirect and/or consequential damages and/or damages from delay and/or damages to any third party with respect to the use of it's products. Claims regarding product quality must be received in writing within 30 days of discovery of defect.
