Self Leveling Epoxy Flooring

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

PolyMax TECH-SL is a very durable, "self leveling" type, epoxy flooring system comprised of a tinted, moisture tolerant, multi-purpose epoxy with special fillers and aggregates. This highly flowable epoxy rich system provides an extremely dense, smooth, level floor finish which provides the ultimate in cleanliness and sanitation. It has very good chemical resistance, superior resistance to wear from abrasion and excellent impact resistance.

TYPICAL USE

TECH-SL is specially designed to be used where a very smooth, seamless, sanitary floor finish is required. Far more durable than a floor paint or coating, it will withstand the rigors of moderate industrial traffic and heavy foot traffic. Its epoxy rich matrix and special fillers and aggregate allow it to be virtually self-leveling for an nearly glass smooth floor finish.

It is ideally suited for use in areas such as TV production stages, clean rooms, biological laboratories, surgical areas and treatment rooms, animal labs and specialized chemical process recovery areas, dust free component manufacturing and micro component manufacturing.

LIMITATIONS

Avoid on or below grade applications where water vapor transmission is greater than 5 lbs./1000 sq. ft. per 24 hrs. or where ambient operating temperatures exceed 150 F.

Substrate must be sound, dry and free of surface contamination. Ambient air temperature must be at least 75 F and at least 3 F above dew point during application.

PACKAGING

Standard packaging for liquid portion is 5 gallon pails. Unitized, larger or smaller packaging is also available by special order.

STORAGE

For best shelf life, store in a dry area at temperatures between 50 F and 90 F. Protect product from freezing and excessive heat. Minimum shelf life is one year from date of manufacture when properly stored.

THICKNESS

TECH-SL is installed at 1/8" minimum thickness. Additional thickness may be specified for additional wear or when smooth substrate is not present.

COMPLIANCES

All components of TECH-SL seamless flooring are compliant with the State of California Air Resources Board approved architectural coatings volatile organic compound (VOC) rule, San Diego APCD Rule 67, New York City AQMD Rule 205 and the New Jersey VOC requirements.

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE/PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

Actual test results may vary due to the use of various aggregates, application methods and floor finish. The foregoing test results are based upon laboratory prepared samples and results may vary if not prepared by a professional technician.

AVAILABILITY

PolyMax Polymer Products are available only through selected and approved applicators or one of the many PolyMax distribution centers. This material is intended for commercial and industrial installations and should be installed by skilled, seamless flooring technicians. It is neither designed for nor available for consumer use.

(Custom colors are available in 250 gallon minimums for an additional charge.)

PolyMax TECH-SL systems are intended for use by professional applicators. Results are highly dependent upon their skills. Although materials are safe if properly handled, all personnel who are exposed to any chemicals must read and completely understand precautions and warnings on label and MSDS prior to use.

COMPONENTS OF OR PRODUCTS USED WITH AND DURING THE INSTALLATION OF POLYMAX POLYMER PRODUCTS MAY INCLUDE HAZARDOUS MATERIALS. All personnel exposed to or handling materials before and during installation must read and fully understand label precautions and Material Safety Data Sheets.

LIMITED WARRANTY

PolyMax Polymer Products are manufactured to meet the highest level of consistency and quality for their intended use. All products are warranted to meet the physical properties as listed above. Should any PolyMax Polymer Products be proven to be defective within one year of the date of shipment, the products will be either replaced or at our discretion a credit for the full purchase price will be issued. The successful performance of seamless flooring is highly dependent upon many factors beyond our control. Therefore, except for such replacement or refund PolyMax and its affiliates MAKE NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF FITNESS, DESIGN COMPATIBILITY OR MERCHANTABILITY, RESPECTING ITS PRODUCTS. Other than that stated in the foregoing, PolyMax and its affiliates shall have no other responsibility or liability, including direct and/or indirect and/or consequential damages and/or damages from delay and/or damages to any third party with respect to the use of it's products. Claims regarding product quality must be received in writing within 30 days of discovery of defect.
